Our mission is to develop and shape students through musical enrichment and performance arts.
Using values such as musicianship, integrity, and unity in teaching, we strive for a commitment to excellence. This commitment, along with a trust in tradition, serves as the foundation for the ultimate goal of teaching band members important life changing skills that will guide them now and in the future.
We continue to push the envelope in developing creative, challenging, fun, and entertaining ways to share music throughout the community.
MUSICIANSHIP
As a band program we uphold high levels of musicianship in all areas of our comprehensive music program. Performance can be seen on many different levels from an individual to a large ensemble.
INTEGRITY
As a part of the Grand Rapids band program we teach integrity through discipline, hard work, and perseverance. This skill set is essential to ones personal growth in the future.
UNITY
The Grand Rapids band program creates a community that unites us. We work as a band family that affects and represents our school and community to the best of our ability.
