The Grand Rapids Symphonic Band is a part of the comprehensive music program offered at Grand Rapids High School. The symphonic band is considered one of the top ensembles in the high school. The band performs the highest level of wind band literature at three concerts during the year. They will also perform at Large group ensemble contest and each member will perform a solo or ensemble in the spring.

Prerequisites: Selection to this group is determined by an audition as well as the director and bands needs.
Credit: 1 credit
Duration: Students must be a member of a band for a Full Year (first and second semester) to receive credit.

Description: The Symphony Band is a select group of musicians with a very high demand of musicality and technical skill placed on the members. The Symphony Band performs at State/ Region Large Group contest and at least 1 concert this semester
