The Varsity Band (formerly known as 9th Grade band) consists of members who are not signed up for marching band. This band rehearses during 2nd hour during the school day and will push each individual performer to their highest potential. We cover all of the national and state music standards and work to create as much fun and amazing music as possible. This band will also develop the skill and technique needed to excel at each individual instrument.
During the first semester this band will consist of 9-12th graders not in marching band, during second semester this class will be ALL 9th grade band members.

#1779 & 2779 Varsity BAND
Prerequisites: Participation in 8th Grade Band or permission from instructor to start in the program.
Credit: 1 credit
Duration: Students must be a member of a band for a Full Year (first and second semester) to receive credit.
Open To: 9th Grade
Description: The band will consist of instrumental music students in 9th Grade and will perform 2-3 concerts per year. This group focuses on a high caliber of music from many different time periods and styles.
