Welcome to the Grand Rapids High School Band website. We are located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota which is approximately 100 miles south of the Canadian Border. Our program offers students a comprehensive instrumental music education experience with concert bands, jazz ensembles, marching band, pep band, music theory and composition, and many small ensembles. We take pride in our past accomplishments as well as work hard to always be better at what we do.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop and shape students through musical enrichment and performance arts. Using values such as musicianship, integrity, and unity in teaching, we strive for a commitment to excellence. This commitment along with a trust in tradition serves as the foundation for the ultimate goal of teaching band members important life changing skills that will guide them now and in the future. We continue to push the envelope in developing creative, challenging, fun, and entertaining ways to share music throughout the community.
